It is also used in treating infections of the throat, nose, urinary tract, skin, and lungs (pneumonia). It cures the infection by stopping the further growth of the causative microorganisms.

Levoquin 500mg tablet should be used in the dose and duration advised by your concerned doctor. It can be consumed with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping doses and complete the full course as prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose if you missed the dose. Simply take the next dose on time.
